“I Look for Inspiration in Everyone” – Arshdeep Singh After Winning the T20 World Cup for India

Indian left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has shared insights on who inspires him in his professional journey. Unlike many athletes who idolize specific sports figures, Arshdeep finds motivation from various individuals excelling in their everyday lives.

The talented bowler was the highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup, claiming 17 wickets with an economy rate of just 7.16.

After returning home from the victorious T20 World Cup campaign, Arshdeep Singh visited Chandigarh University, where he was honored for his remarkable performance. Reflecting on his sources of inspiration, Arshdeep said:

“As a player, I look for inspiration in everyone, be it a daily wager, a student topping his classes, or a professor. I try getting inspired by the ones doing well in their lives. The message to the youth is that they keep continuing to give their best, controlling what they can. Keep working hard. You will get the fruits of your hard work.”

In the final against South Africa, Arshdeep delivered a spectacular spell, taking 2/20, which included the crucial wickets of captain Aiden Markram and explosive batter Quinton de Kock.

Arshdeep Singh on the Possibility of Playing Test Cricket for India

In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Arshdeep Singh expressed his dream of playing Test cricket for India and his discussions with Jasprit Bumrah on improving his bowling skills. Addressing his aspirations for the longer format, Arshdeep stated:

“As a player, you want to give your 100 percent no matter what format. This is my thinking too. I would give my best if given a chance.”

Former Indian bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has also commented on Arshdeep’s potential Test debut, particularly in the upcoming series against Australia later this year, especially if India opts to play four pacers.

Arshdeep Singh’s journey and dedication serve as an inspiration to many, and his future in Test cricket looks promising with his continuous hard work and perseverance.
