    When is the India vs Pakistan match in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup?

    The 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup began on Thursday, October 3, with Bangladesh defeating Scotland by 16 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, marking their first ICC event victory since 2014.

    India is set to begin their campaign with a match against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, October 4. India is in Group A alongside defending champions Australia, arch-rivals Pakistan, and Asia Cup winners Sri Lanka.

    The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, October 6, starting at 3:30 PM IST (2:00 PM local time). Following this game, India will face Sri Lanka on October 9 in Dubai, and then take on Australia in Sharjah on October 13.

    India vs Pakistan Record in the Women’s T20 World Cup

    India and Pakistan have faced each other seven times in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, with India winning five matches and Pakistan two. Their first encounter was in 2009 in Taunton, where India secured a five-wicket victory with 14 balls to spare.

    In 2010, India continued their dominance by beating Pakistan by nine wickets in Basseterre. Pakistan’s first win came in 2012, where Nida Dar’s stellar performance (3-12) helped them to a one-run victory in Galle.

    India regained momentum in 2014, winning by six runs in Sylhet, with Soniya Dabir taking 3-14. Pakistan’s second triumph over India came in 2016 in Delhi, winning a rain-affected match by two runs under the DLS method.

    In their last two encounters, India claimed comfortable victories. They won by seven wickets in 2018, with Mithali Raj’s 56 anchoring a chase of 134 in Providence. In 2022, India again beat Pakistan by seven wickets, as Jemimah Rodrigues played a key role, scoring 53* off 38 balls in Cape Town.
